Abstract

The work is part of a project which is proposed to derive a potential in coordinate space for the coupled Antikaon_nucleon- Pi Sigma - Pi Gamma system. The potential is expected to reproduce the low-energy scattering data of the reactions K-p --> K-p, K^_0n, Pi^0Sigma^0, Pi^+Sigma^-, Pi^-Sigma^+, Pi Gamma the properties of the Lambda(1405) resonance, kaonic hydrogen atom data, and transition amplitudes predicted by other theoretical approaches. In this work we derive the dynamical equations for the coupled-channel Antikaon_nucleon system and evaluate the cross sections of the reactions K-p --> Pi^0Sigma^0, Pi^+Sigma^-, Pi^-Sigma^+  with a phenomenological potential for the coupled Antikaon_nucleon system.
